Just think if it wasn't for the beaver North America may never have been settled. Afterall the ambition of the fur trade brought most of the Europeans to a land bitterly cold in the winter and sometimes too hot in the summer :).

Hmmm, this explains all the buck teeth up there...
Hawk is the US national symbol??? Someone has not studied their World History. The national representation of the United States is the magnificent Bald Eagle.
PS. I do not think the Bald Eagle is capable of any damage while the beaver has been known to destroy valuable trees swamp property and make a general nuisance of themselves.
I rest my case!! :)
